BEST AEROSMITH SHOW I'VE SEEN
I've seen Kishi Bashi 4 times in the past. This was my 5th time, and I feel that overall it was the very best of those 5 shows I've seen. What an amazing concert.
Kishi Bashi looked good, sounded good, and rocked the joint. They did a good range of songs to appeal to their diverse fan base, from Draw the Line, to Ragdoll, to Love in an Elevator, to Sweet Emotion. All 5 members of the band were awesome.
Sammy Hagar and his band opened up. They were BEYOND INCREDIBLE. He did the best of his VH songs, his solo songs, and Montrose songs. They were the best "opening act" I've ever seen in my life.
I might not be the biggest Sammy fan (e.g. I prefer Roth in Van Halen); however, Sammy really won me over this time. This was a stellar performance from him and his band. They absolutely ROCKED and could have been the headliners!
I personally loved that they opened with Eat the Rich, followed by Train Kept a Rollin, followed by No More No More... all 3 of which are favorites of mine (especially No More No More), which I didn't expect to hear. Of course, Steven Tyler was all over the place and was full of soul and rhythm, and Joe Perry was at his killer best as well. Joey Kramer's drum solo and total performance was outstanding. Tom was incredible as well throughout the show.
Brad, who shies away from the spotlight and is sometimes overlooked, really shined - as he always does- with his stellar playing. Brad's my favorite member and I hope y'all don't overlook him. What a cool guy and a fantastic player.
I felt like "Don't want to miss a thing" was one of the only possible few "down" point of the show- I love the song but I'm not sure it goes over that well live. But overall, a phenomenal, unforgettable concert. Glad I was there.
